At Clipp.tv (“we”), we care about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have when you use the analytics, automatic clip production, and community discovery services we provide for Kick streamers (the “Service”).

1. Data We Collect

To provide the Service, we collect the following data:

  • Account information: the username, user ID, profile picture, and, if available, email address we receive from the identity provider when you sign in with Kick.
  • Public Kick data: public stream information for the channels we track (channel, category, viewer count, stream sessions), chat messages and their participants, stream events such as subs/raids/follows/polls, and periodic snapshots.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser information, session data, and records of how you use the Service.

Kick permissions (scopes): when you sign in with Kick, we only request the permissions the Service needs:

  • Profile and email (user:read): to create your account and link your channel to you. Your email is stored only to identify your account.
  • Channel information (channel:read): to read your public channel information in order to find and verify your channel and prepare your analytics.
  • Event subscription (events:subscribe): to receive follow, sub, gift, and chat events and produce live analytics and automatic clip signals.
  • Chat write access (chat:write): to send the “your clips are being prepared” reminder when your stream ends and replies to !klip requests to your own chat only. You can turn these features off from your dashboard at any time.

2. How We Use Data

  • To provide analytics dashboards, rankings, automatic clips, and community discovery.
  • To create your account, and verify and manage your channel.
  • To improve the Service, maintain security, and prevent abuse.

In automatic clip production, stream video/audio and chat data may be processed — including AI-based ranking — to identify highlight moments.

3. Cookies

We only use the essential cookies needed to keep your session open and authenticate you. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data. To run the Service, we share data only with the following trusted service providers (data processors):

  • Vercel
  • Cloudflare
  • Anthropic
  • Kick
  • Pusher
  • Meta
  • Google

We may share data with competent authorities when required by applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the personal data linked to it within a reasonable time. Public stream statistics may be retained in aggregate, anonymous form.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data. That said, we remind you that no data transmission or storage method over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, and to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, and to object to its processing. You can send your requests to support@clipp.tv.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not designed for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from people under 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We announce significant changes through the Service and change the “Last updated” date above.
